Our shareholders encompass all aspects of the South African economy and society and we are therefore truly creating an investment vehicle for the people, by the people.

Established in 2007, we boast over 26 000 shareholders across all LSM groups, located throughout South Africa and select southern African countries.

Our primary investment objective is to provide our investors with relatively high long-term capital growth. We invest in listed and unlisted instruments (equity and debt), collective investment schemes and money market investments in order to maximise the return for our shareholders.

The SEI 1 Financial Services team focuses on investing in technology-driven innovation in financial infrastructure, products, services, and their distribution.

We aim to be a long-term partner to the financial services companies we support—with growth and expansion capital, sector knowledge, and our regional expertise and presence.

We invest in local and independent financial institutions. We believe the financial services sector is an important component of a well-diversified portfolio.

We are hands-on business partners, and work closely with management to help unlock opportunities and address their challenges.

Our mission is to invest in technologies to rapidly transform our food and agriculture system. farming practices must protect the long-term productivity of the land, but must also ensure profitable yields and the well-being of farmers and farm workers.
